So let's review.
The sharp anti-corperate satire is gone.
In this version, Murphy is not shot to pieces in a horrifying way that makes us sympathize with him but taken out in a car bomb you've seen on every cop show since 1972.
He remembers his family and at one point, even starts even starts making out with his wife, after he's been Robocoped!
The film is PG-13.
Between this trailer and the way Drew McWeeny live tweeted reading the script a few months back (In a tone that mixed snark with existential despair.) I am not optimistic about this.
